About NDT

Newfoundland Daylight Time (NDT) is the daylight saving time observed in parts of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The time zone offset of NDT is UTC−02:30, which means it is 2 hours and 30 minutes behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Newfoundland Daylight Time is used during the warmer months of the year to extend evening daylight. When daylight saving time ends, the region returns to Newfoundland Standard Time (NST), which has a UTC offset of UTC−03:30.

NDT is primarily observed in cities and communities across Newfoundland and Labrador, including St. John’s, Mount Pearl, Corner Brook, and Gander. It is one of the few time zones in the world that uses a half-hour offset from UTC.
