About ACDT

Australian Central Daylight Time (ACDT) is the daylight saving time used in parts of Australia during the summer months. The time zone offset of ACDT is UTC+10:30, which means it is 10 hours and 30 minutes ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

ACDT is observed when daylight saving is active in regions such as South Australia, the city of Adelaide, and parts of the Northern Territory border areas. During the rest of the year, these regions switch back to Australian Central Standard Time (ACST), which has an offset of UTC+09:30.

ACDT is mainly used to make better use of daylight during the longer summer days, helping extend evening daylight hours in southern parts of Australia.
