About CLT

CLT (Chile Standard Time) is the standard time observed in most of Chile. The time zone offset of CLT is UTC−04:00, which means it is 4 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Chile Standard Time is used during the country’s standard time period. During daylight saving time, many regions of Chile switch to Chile Summer Time (CLST), which has a UTC offset of UTC−03:00.

CLT is observed in major Chilean cities such as Santiago, Valparaíso, Concepción, Antofagasta, and Temuco. It serves as the primary time standard for much of the country outside the daylight saving period.
