About CLST

CLST (Chile Summer Time) is the daylight saving time observed in most parts of Chile during the summer season. The time zone offset of CLST is UTC−03:00, which means it is 3 hours behind Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Chile Summer Time is used to make better use of daylight during the warmer months of the year. When daylight saving time ends, Chile returns to Chile Standard Time (CLT), which has a UTC offset of UTC−04:00.

CLST is observed in major Chilean cities such as Santiago, Valparaíso, Concepción, Antofagasta, and Viña del Mar during the daylight saving period. It is an important seasonal time standard used throughout much of the country.
