Eligibility Criteria & Age Limits

Age limits are calculated as of June 10, 2026.

  • SUPT (JOT) Posts (Fresher roles): 18 to 27 years.
  • Operator / Technician / Mining Mate (Experienced roles): Maximum 35 years.
  • Jr. Foreman Posts: Maximum 40 years.
  • Educational Qualifications Required:
  • Operators & Technicians: 10th pass followed by a full-time 2-year ITI course (NCVT/NCVET) in trades like Fitter, Electrician, MMV, or Instrumentation, along with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC). HEMM Operators require a valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
  • Jr. Foreman Roles: A regular full-time Diploma in Mining or Electrical Engineering with a valid competency certificate from the DGMS or Electrical Licensing Board.
  • SUPT (JOT) Laboratory: B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection process depends entirely on the specific vacancy code:

  1. CBT Only (100% Weightage): Applied to all trainee-level SUPT(JOT) openings.
  2. CBT + Trade Test (60:40 Weightage): Applied to all regular Technician, Operator, and Junior Foreman designations.
  3. Computer Based Test (CBT) Layout:
  • Total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be solved within 120 minutes.
  • 60% Weightage: Subject-matter technical questions from the respective engineering branch or trade.
  • 40% Weightage: Non-technical topics, covering Quantitative Aptitude, General Knowledge, Reasoning, and English.
  • No Negative Marking: There are no deductions for incorrect answers.
