The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET UG) 2026 exam that was held on May 3. The decision came after investigations by central agencies and the Rajasthan Police Special Operations Group (SOG) uncovered a major paper leak. Reports revealed that a “guess paper” containing over 140 exact questions from the actual exam had circulated on WhatsApp groups before the test date.
To maintain transparency and protect student interests, the government has handed the case over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and announced a complete re-examination nationwide.
