The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has officially extended the registration deadline for the UPTET 2026 exam. This decision comes after many candidates faced server issues on the original closing date. You now have more time to complete your application for both Primary (Class 1-5) and Junior (Class 6-8) levels.

- New Registration Last Date: May 3, 2026
- Last Date to Pay Fee: May 3, 2026
- Application Correction Window: Until May 8, 2026
- Exam City Slip Release: June 22, 2026
- Admit Card Download: June 30, 2026
- UPTET Exam Dates: July 2, 3, and 4, 2026
Eligibility and Syllabus
- Primary Level (Paper I): Requires a Bachelor’s degree in any stream with a 2-year D.El.Ed (passed or appearing) or a B.Ed degree with at least 50% marks.
- Junior Level (Paper II): Requires a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with 50% marks and B.Ed, or a 2-year BTC/D.El.Ed training.
- Syllabus: Both papers consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 150 minutes. There is no negative marking. Key subjects include Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I (Hindi), Language II (English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics, and EVS/Social Studies.
How to Apply
You must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the official UPESSC portal before filling out the main form.
- Visit upessc.up.gov.in.
- Complete your OTR profile if you haven’t already.
- Fill in your educational details and choose your exam paper (Primary, Junior, or Both).
- Pay the fee (₹1000 for General/OBC, ₹500 for SC/ST) and save the final confirmation page.
